Domiciliary Care in Enfield & London
Reliable, professional home care visits tailored to your needs — supporting independence, dignity, and wellbeing in the comfort of your own home.
What Is Domiciliary Care?
Domiciliary care — also known as home care — involves a trained and experienced carer visiting your home on a regular basis to provide support with daily tasks, personal care, and general wellbeing. It is one of the most popular forms of care for adults who wish to remain living independently at home but require assistance with certain aspects of daily life.
Unlike residential care, domiciliary care allows you to stay in the familiar surroundings of your own home, maintain your routines, keep close to family and friends, and retain full control over how and when your care is delivered.
At Direct2U, our domiciliary care service is fully personalised. Every care plan begins with a thorough assessment of your individual needs, and is then designed in consultation with you, your family, and any relevant health or social care professionals. The result is a care package that fits your life — not the other way around.

The difference Direct2U has made to my mother's daily life is extraordinary. She was struggling alone but refused to move into a care home. Her carer arrives every morning and evening, and Mum genuinely lights up when she hears the door. The consistency and warmth of the team have been everything we hoped for.

Domiciliary Care — Frequently Asked Questions
Can't find your answer? Call us on +44 (0) 7394 616696 and we will be happy to help.
Domiciliary care involves a carer visiting your home for a set number of visits each day — typically between 30 minutes and several hours per visit. Live-in care involves a carer residing in your home around the clock. Domiciliary care is ideal for people who are largely independent but need support at specific times of day.
We can arrange as many visits as your care plan requires — from a single morning call through to four or more visits per day. We also offer longer daytime companionship visits and overnight sitting services where needed.
We make every effort to match you with a carer who suits your personality, preferences, and specific needs. Once matched, we prioritise sending the same carer on every visit to ensure consistency and build a trusting relationship.
Yes. Our domiciliary care service operates seven days a week, 365 days a year, including weekends and all bank holidays. Care does not stop because it is a Saturday or Christmas Day.
In urgent situations, we can often begin care within 24 to 48 hours of a completed assessment. For planned packages, we typically aim to start within five to seven working days, allowing time to complete the care plan and carer matching process properly.
We currently provide domiciliary care across Enfield, Edmonton, Waltham Cross, Tottenham, Wood Green, Haringey, Barnet, Walthamstow, Chingford, and surrounding areas of North and East London. Call us to confirm whether we cover your specific postcode.
Each care visit is logged in our care management system. We conduct regular supervisory spot-checks, service user reviews, and carer performance assessments to ensure the highest standards are consistently maintained.
